These are just awesome. They all follow the same basic design pattern, but it is amazing what he's done with such a "low resolution" technique.

I recommend looking through the collection, there are some awesome treasures in there. Here are some of my favorites: T-800 Terminator, Green Lantern, Predator, John McClane, Iron Man (of course), Captain America (love the shield), and my absolute favorite: Walter Sobchak!

The Cosmic Cube vs The Twinkie

This is an ad I found in Iron Man v1 #88, from 1976. This type of ad was pretty common back then, especially for Hostess "foods".



What caught my attention was the middle panel on the bottom. Let's take a closer look.


Now I don't MEAN to be perverted, but is that Cosmic Cube fucking that Twinkie? Does it not look like that's what it's doing?

Marvel Movie News!

Hot news from Marvel Studios today. The Captain America movie will be a period WWII piece; Thor will take place mostly in Asgard; and the fan-contested "star shaped thing" on Tony Starks workbench is, in fact, part of Cap's shield.

Cap Dead!

A friend just came into my office and asked if I heard the news (I had not): Captain America is Dead!

The newest issues came out yesterday (I picked up the books I read but Captain America isn't one of them) but didn't have a chance to read them last night. Apparently Cap was hit by a sniper while entering a courthouse in the aftermath of Civil War.

I called the comic shop to see if they had any left, but they were all sold out yesterday. The owner told me that they were given no advanced warning on the storyline for the book so they just ordered the normal amount. They have a quadruple order placed (I reserved one) but they may not come in for a while. Rumor is that Marvel did a huge first printing so when they come in they *should* be first edition, for anyone that cares. I just want to read the book!
