The Guardians of the Galaxy

For some deep seeded psychological reason, when I fly I like to wear my Green Lantern T-shirt. So when I arrived at the San Antonio airport to fly home, that's what I had on.

At the security line I was stripping down to socked feet and emptying my pockets. I stepped in front of the metal detector and the guard said I had to remove my ring. I was surprised, as I've never been told to do this before. When I reached for my wedding ring he said, "No sir, your other ring. Are you not wearing your Green Lantern ring today?" I smiled, to which he responded, "Oh, you're on vacation, no problem." As I walked through the metal detector I got up next to him, "I left it at home with my Power Battery." Laughing heartily he patted me on the back.

San Antonio is a pretty cool place.

only you....or maybe Charlie

Especially Charlie... He says he knows why he has to wear the green lantern shirt while flying. He just told me that it's because he's the only superhero that has any business flying. Superman is meant to jump.

What makes this even weirder is that when I got to the Baltimore airport and was walking to my car another security guard asked me "That's Green Lantern, right?" I think Charlie should apply to the TSA.

I'll tell him.
